Network Permission Settings for the Database

It has been brought to our attention that some organizations have very strict security on read/write access for files or folders. The more security the better, however, these default restrictions might be active where The Broadcast Clock Creator database file is located. These restrictions do not allow The Broadcast Clock Creator to read or write to the database causing you to receive an error message.

Every organization and system is different, but if you receive an error message (most likely when you launch The Broadcast Clock Creator) have your IT Department adjust the settings below. Database permission settings should not be a problem on home computers - only computers connected to a secure network.

If you try the adjustments below and still have a problem, please contact us and we will work with you to resolve the situation.

Step 1 - Locate the Database File

The location of the database file depends on your operating system (XP, Vista or Windows 7). The easiest way to locate it is to do a search for RadioClock.mdb.

Right click on RadioClock.mdb, and then left click on Properties.

Step 2 - Security Tab

A window will open, and then click on the the Security tab at the top.

Step 3 - Set Permissions

Next, under "Groups or user names" select SYSTEM. Then, under "Permissions for SYSTEM" in the "Allow" column check all of the boxes.

Click Apply and then OK and you are finished!
